Adult Sunday School
The Sunday School hour provides you with a valuable opportunity to learn God’s Word. If you want to deepen your knowledge of Scripture, draw closer to Christ, and connect with other people, the Sunday School hour is for you. The classes listed below are open to everyone who would like to attend, and are taught by very capable teachers.
The 9:30 Sunday School Hour
- The Gospel of Mark: This gospel is known by many scholars as the “action packed” gospel. When you study this you hit the ground running. Familiarity with this gospel is a must! This class is taught by Neil Biolsi in Room L1.
- Victory Over The Darkness: A study by Neil T. Anderson. This book is the first of two books he has written from his education and experience in discipling and counseling others. This book focuses on the foundational issues of living and maturing in Christ. You will discover who you are in Christ and how to live by faith. You will learn how to walk by the Spirit and be sensitive to His leading. The grace walk is living by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. In this book you will discover the nature of the battle for your mind and learn why your mind must be transformed so you can live by faith and grow spiritually. You will gain insight into how to manage your emotions and be set free from the emotional traumas of your past through faith and forgiveness. Bruce Pultz will teach this class during the 1st service in Room L2, starting Sunday, May 8th.
- Starting January 8th: Providential Living: preparing a household to thrive during both good and bad times. This class will explore the historical and Biblical reasons why families should prepare for times of crisis. We will learn about the practicalities of food and water storage, thrifty living, wise household management, and self- sufficiency. We will discuss the Biblical principles in these practices and learn how to respond to times of crisis not with fear but rather faith.
- Starting January 8th: How To Study The Bible. This study is a must for everybody because we all need to know how to study the Bible. This is one of the "LifeSkills Classes" that Parkside offers and is taught by Pastor Justin in room H, in the upper level of the facility. Taking this class will make it much easier to understand how to make accurate conclusions about the Scripture and make your devotional reading much more profitable.
The 11:00 Sunday School Hour
- I & II Peter: This verse by verse study is taught by Bob Harryman beginning January 8 in room J, which is in the lower level of the facility.
- Fearless, by Max Lucado: Bart & Cheryl Mayforth will lead this study starting January 8th. This study is a series on living your life without fear. This class will meet in room H.
- 1 Corinthians: This study is taught by Keith Kilgor, former chaplain at Fort Drum. This is one of the most interesting books in the New Testament, covering everything from sanctification, Christian liberty, the gifts of the Spirit, and much more. Working through this great book of the Bible can bring clarity on the matter of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, whether or not the gifts are for today, and much more. This study meets in room L3.
Student Ministry Sunday School
- Sunday School: The Student Ministry Sunday School Class meets during the 11:00 service and are taught a solid lesson from the Word of God. It's a good time for the students to connect with their friends and enjoy the lesson.
